Third baseman Darrell Evans hit a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Atlanta Braves
man-handled the Los Angeles Dodgers - the final score was 13 to 2.

Evans enjoyed a big day at the plate. He laced a single scoring a run in the
1st inning and belted a three-run homer (his 8th of the season) in the 2nd
inning. Atlanta out-hit Los Angeles for the game, 19 hits to 10.

The win was credited to George Stone(7-4) who went 7 innings allowing 2 runs.
Doyle Alexander(2-1) absorbed the loss. For Atlanta the victory was a
welcome one, indeed. They had been struggling in their last ten games with a
disappointing 2-8 record. With the loss, the Los Angeles ballclub's record
is 54-39.
